What is Homoeopathy?

Homoeopathy is a 200 year young system of science. It was developed by Dr Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician in the early 1800’s. It stimulates the healing response and strengthens the body’s activity to heal itself by using specially prepared highly diluted preparations. It aims to treat the whole person taking into account personality, lifestyle and hereditary factors as well as the history of the disease. Since all people are unique, Homoeopathic medicines are prescribed to treat individuals. In recent times Homoeopathy has played a major role in treating and preventing various diseases and WHO (world health organisation) recognises it as the 2nd largest therapeutic system in use worldwide.
